PICC

A PICC is a soft, long and narrow catheter (tube) that is inserted into a vein in your arm, leg or neck. The tip of the catheter is positioned in a large vein, which carries the blood to the heart. The PICC is used for intravenous (IV) antibiotics, nutrition or medications that are needed long-term.  A PICC is also used for blood draws.
